Traveling abroad, but still sensing the honor with my team as they went on stage to receive the award from Minister Wu of the National Science and Technology Council, Taiwan (#NSTC).

FutureTech Award（未來科技獎） is to recognize the top few government-funded research teams in impactful research results. It’s very selective — for example 82 selected from the 500+ candidates this year.

This is truly a testament to the collective efforts of our current and past team members in investigating frontier methods in #robot learning to reduce training costs, leveraging LLMs/VLMs for more sophisticated tasks, and ensuring safety for robot applications.

Feeling very proud of the team and looking forward to what we will work on next for both academia and industry.

這是實驗室第五個 #FutureTech 獎項，也是第一個以機器人為主題獲獎的研究。今年得獎主題為《精進機器人大腦：學得快、聽得懂、異常秒察覺》。我們聚焦於智慧機器人在真實應用中面臨的 #三大關鍵技術 ：（1）開啟少量示範訓練的可行性，（2）使用 #LLM #VLM 來訓練機器人長時間複雜任務，（3）機器人異常行為偵測避免高風險。目的希望可以加速智慧機器人在智慧製造、智慧家居等場域的部署。
