「一流人才會想去國際上看看。」「如果大學以國際標準來培養一流人才,那麼這些頂尖人才也就會以世界的標準要求自己,他擁有的選擇也會是世界性的。」

在帶領研究生時,最喜歡學生去挑戰前人沒有做過的研究主題,因為沒有過去的答案作為參考,最能讓學生挑戰自我。「如果學生做不好,往往不是他不夠聰明,而是他不相信自己可以做到;如果我們的教育還是告訴學生錯一題打一下,是不能培養自信的。」

We have grown very high-quality talents locally. However, we need to utilize and treasure them for the best — it’s a national security issue. 人才的珍重與善用,是國安問題。
